Our Story

Jacqueline Braga, founder of Bragabags, was born and raised in Brazil. Her mother, Eliete Braga, dedicated her leisure time in Brazil to crocheting home decor and clothing for her six daughters. Jacqueline was enamored with the process of transforming string into intricate, beautiful, and functional objects. She was her mother's apprentice as a little girl. The two shared a passion for bringing their visions to life with needle and yarn. Years later, Jacqueline found inspiration to embark on a crochet journey of her own.

Bragabags originated in Hillsdale, NY, fueled by a love for crafting crochet wardrobe essentials, particularly handbags. Each bag is handmade with a focus on embodying femininity, originality, and functionality. Jacqueline draws inspiration from vibrant colors and playful shapes, infusing each creation with unique character. The brand aims to connect with those who appreciate distinctive accessories.
